Our bot and employers
Every 3 hours, Bull & Byte collects the internships that employers publish themselves. Our bot identifies itself as BullAndByteBot.
What it reads
- The public feeds that applicant tracking systems provide to distribute job postings (Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Recruitee, Workday, Oracle Recruiting).
- The sitemaps (sitemap.xml) of career sites, then only the internship pages.
Before reading anything on a site, it reads that site's robots.txt and follows it: an address the site closes to bots is never opened, and a site that closes its feed to bots is skipped.
What it doesn't do
- It doesn't read job boards (LinkedIn, Indeed, Glassdoor, Welcome to the Jungle, JobTeaser…) and never logs into any account.
- It doesn't republish the text of postings: only the title, employer, location, date, and a link to the original posting, where students apply.
- It doesn't read a site whose postings are scrambled or closed to bots.
- It runs every 3 hours, at a low rate.
Removing your postings
An employer who does not want its postings here can write to coach@bullandbyte.com: they are removed within 48 hours and the bot stops reading its site.
