Privacy
In short: we keep the text of your CV on your account, so you add it once. Your CV file, your letters and your interview videos are never stored on our servers.
Your CV and your letter
- Your CV is read in your browser. The file stays on your device. Its text is saved to your account, so you find it on any device where you sign in. "Remove" on your CV deletes it from your account; signing out removes it from the device.
- When you ask for a letter, your CV and the posting are sent to our server, then to Anthropic's writing model, for the time it takes to write the letter. Anthropic does not use them to train its models.
- The letter comes back to your browser. We keep no copy.
The video interview
- Your camera and microphone switch on only after your browser asks you, and only on the video interview page.
- Your video is recorded in your browser and never sent to us. You can watch it and download it; it disappears when you close the tab.
- Your words are turned into text by your browser's speech recognition. In Chrome and Edge this is a service of Google or Microsoft, which receives the sound of your voice for that purpose; Safari may do it on your device.
- Your face is tracked in your browser (where you look, framing, distance, smiling) with a model downloaded from Google's servers. Only the resulting numbers are used.
- For the review, we send our server, then Anthropic's model: the text of each answer, these numbers, two still images per answer and your CV. We don't keep the images. Anthropic does not use them to train its models.
- What we keep: the questions you were asked (so you never get the same one twice) and the score of each answer and of each interview (for your progress curve). Your written review, with the text of your answers, is kept in your account so you can read it on any device; a copy is emailed to you.
What we keep
- Once a week, an email with the new internships that match your CV (or, without a CV, the new ones at the biggest firms). Unsubscribe from the link in any of them.
- For each letter: the employer, the job title, the date and the amount of text processed, to monitor usage and cost.
- Your letterhead (name, phone, email, LinkedIn), as you entered it, so your next letters are ready. Change it any time on the cover letter page.
- The text of your CV, what we read from it (school, class, languages, skills, the desks of your past internships) and your profile settings, so your letters and Match scores follow you on any device. Never the file. "Remove" on your CV deletes it from your account.
- Your account: your email address, your credit balance and the record of what added or spent credits (purchases, letters, online tests, invitations), and your plan if you have one (its name, its renewal date, and the Stripe reference that renews or stops it). At sign-up, a non-reversible fingerprint of your IP address, to limit abuse of the free credits. If you continue with Google, Google confirms your email address to us; we keep that address only, never your Google password. Payment is handled by Stripe; we never see your card.
